There's a new pattern from Designs to Share with You called "As You Like It". It contains instructions for three placemats. Shown here are Style II - Vertical Border and Style I - Horizontal Border. The third is Style III - Border Frame. Each place mat finishs at 13" x 17" so you could make a variety of co-ordinating ones for your table.
One day while on the Timeless Treasures website under Projects...More Quilts... I discovered the Border Print Place Mats designed by Valerie Morton. I contacted her and bought the pattern - I could barely wait for it to arrive. It came about an hour before I was headed to the ferry but I first made one with green prairie points before I left. I then decided maybe I'd like the prairie points to be different colors on each placemat which led to the other three. The main fabric is the Marblehead Rose line.
I also made this set of placemats with four different colors. I debated putting one pairie point of each color on each placemat - maybe next time. The main fabric is Flower Doodle by Kim Schaefer for Andover Fabrics.
I love the Stonehenge fabrics and I especially love the ginko leaves in silver on this one. I quilted three large ginko leaves in the center. The pattern is Centerfold by Pieced Tree Patterns. Size 11 3/4" x 41"
My niece, Lily, is turning 2 in October and I've just finished making bedding for her room. This Pockets To Go cube was made with some of the leftovers. The pattern is by Atkinson Designs and measures 6" x 6" x 5.5".
I loved the tree fabric and made these placemats. I changed the placement of the main fabric so when they're on the table there will be an illusion of movement from the place to place. I also just found some dishes at Wal-Mart which will coordinate beautifully.
