I added a layer of fusible fleece to the exterior bag once it was pieced and quilted it with some straight lines just to give my bag some more structure.

Fabrics:  "Hello World" Mini Menagerie Multi Panel (I just used the hippo & the giraffes) and Itty Bitty Pink by Cori Dantini for Blend Fabrics.  It was the hippo that sold me but all the animals are adorable. The panel also includes a bird and a zebra.

This gave me an excuse to purchase some of the cotton/linen blend from Cotton & Steel.  It was a delight to work with.  I attached fusible fleece to it before appliquéing the various animals with Lite Steam-a-Seam 2 and then top stitching with a straight stitch.
